Melanie Escobar, MSPT
Melanie Escobar, MSPT has been a licensed physical therapist since 2000 and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the Virginia chapter. She earned her bachelors and master's degrees in physical therapy at The Sage Colleges in New York.
Melanie has spent the last eight years focusing on orthopaedic and sports medicine conditions including post-operative surgical patients, spinal dysfunction, and disorders of the upper and lower extremities.
Prior to joining the staff at TCOA, Melanie was living in Rome, Italy working part-time at the US embassy and part-time practicing physical therapy. She had the unique opportunity of being asked to work with former President Bush Senior and provided personal training to clients at the Embassy. She also taught group exercise classes and helped renovate the American Embassy's gym. Prior to living in Italy Melanie worked locally in Northern Virginia in outpatient clinics. In addition to her commitment to continuing her education with courses and seminars, Melanie enjoys spending her time with her husband, family and friends, taking cycling classes, hiking trips out west, working out in the gym and being involved at church.
