Physical & Occupational Therapy
The physicians at Town Center Orthopaedic Associates commonly use physical and occupational therapy to preserve, develop and restore optimal physical function. It is our belief that close physician and therapist coordination optimizes patient outcomes. To achieve these results, we now have a fully equipped modern therapy facility located at our Reston office.
Town Center’s physical and occupational therapists treat individuals with impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities. To alleviate these limitations, they design, implement and modify comprehensive therapeutic interventions. All of our therapists are licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia and continue as leaders in their field with advanced course work and seminars.
Our certified hand therapist is recognized as an expert for hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder rehabilitation and has 10 years of clinical experience with over 8,000 hours of specialty care in hand therapy. She has extensive training in advanced splinting and can create custom splints for all hand conditions.
In addition, our physicians and therapists find that massage therapy can often compliment physical rehabilitation. Our licensed massage therapist has several years of experience working with physical therapy patients. She practices Swedish, deep tissue and therapeutic massage, as well as trigger point work.
